We – Josh and Luke – first met in 2016. Luke was a recent Nottingham Trent graduate looking for a job and Josh was still new to recruitment.
We met again in 2022, this time as colleagues, working at a recruitment agency and realised if we had an agency of our own we could do things differently. We could introduce the best designers and architects to best studios and practices but we could also engage with and promote the wider design industry.
Josh
Josh completed his MA at The Royal College of Art in Ceramics & Glass. He went on to exhibit and ended up supplying his work to some of the studios we now work with.
Along with his work at Canvas Careers, Josh has written on design and culture for publications including The Telegraph, Vice, Dazed, HuffPost, Huck Magazine, and others
Luke
Luke was a designer for several years working at Design Research Studio, Kinnersely Kent and freelanced with several other studios. Luke is a recruiter who understands design.
He’s worked on a mixed use development in Sydney, exhibitions for Milan Design Week and the redevelopment of Fabric Nightclub and others.
